Saint Miguel Cordero was born in Ecuador and became a De La Salle Brother (a Roman Catholic religious teaching congregation). 

SAINT MIGUEL CORDERO     

Brother Miguel entered a Lasallian school and was admitted to the novititate in 1868. In 1907 he was sent to Europe to translate texts into Spanish.

 

Saint Miguel was canonized by Pope John Paul II in October 1984.
