HIDILYN DIAZ
20 February 1991 to present
Hidilyn Diaz won the Philippines first ever gold medal for weightlifting in the 55kg division in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo (held in 2021).
Diaz had previosuly won the silver medal for weightlfiting in the 53kg division at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. She was the first Filipino woman to win an Olympic medal
Diaz also competed in the 2008 Olympic Games, where she was the first female weightlifter to compete for the Philippines in the Olympics and in the 2012 Olympic Games.
Diaz is currently an Airwoman in the Philippine Air Force.
