Brother Ptolomee Louis Duffaux was born in France and was one of the founders of the De La Salle University in Manila in 1911. 

PTOLOMEE DUFFAUX     

Duffaux was 36 when he arrived in the Philippines. He worked in Manila until his death and was the first De La salle Brother to die in the Philippines.

 

The De La Salle Brothers fouded the De La Salle College in Paco, Manila, which was established as an elementary and high school for boys. The college was moved to Malate, Manila in 1921 and was granted university status in 1975.
