Rafeal de Izquierdo (also known as Farael Izquierdo y Gutierrez was a Spanish military officer who served as Governor-General of the Philippines from April 1871 to January 1873.
Izquierdo was born in Spain. He was known for his use of an 'Iron Fist' type of government in contrast to the liberal government of his predecessor. He was the Governor-General during the 1872 Cavite mutiny which led to the execution of 41 of the mutineers including the Gomburza martyrs.
Izquierdo stepped down form his position after falling ill and returned to Madrid in Spain.
