Brother Celba John Lynam was born in Ireland and was one of the founders of the De La Salle University in Manila, in 1911. He was president of the Univeristy between 1927 and 1930.

CELBA LYNAM     

The De La Salle Brothers fouded the De La Salle College in Paco, Manila, which was established as an elementary and high school for boys. The college was moved to Malate, Manila in 1921 and was granted university status in 1975.

 

Lynam was also one of the founding members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the Philippines in 19925.
