JOSIE NATORI

9 May 1947 to present  

Josie Natori (nee Almeda Cruz) is a Filipino-American fashion desinger and the CEO and founder of the Natori Company.

Natori was born in Manila but moved to the United Sates in 1964 to attend college. After graduating she took up a career in finance where she became the first femal vice-president in corporate fiance for Merrill Lynch. She married in 1972 and became a US citizen in 1974.

Natori was keen to set up her own company and after a few ventures moved in to fashion. The Naotri company now sells lingerie, sleepwaer, ready-to-wea amd accessories to upscale department stores in the US and internationaly. Naotri has said that 70 percent of her products are made in the Philippines. The company is also in the home furnishing and perfume industries.
