Saint Benilde Romancon was born in France and became a De La Salle Brother (a Roman Catholic religious teaching congregation).
SAINT BENILDE ROMANCON
Brother Benilde was admitted to the novititate at Clemond in 1820 at the age of 14. He founded a school in Sauges in France where he stayed for the rest of his life.
Saint Benilde was canonized by Pope Paul VI in October 1967.
