Silayan’s perfromaces earned him four awards, in 1977 Gawad Urian Best Actor for: Ligaw na bulaklak , in 1982 Gawad Urian Best Actor for Kisapmata , and in 1984 FAMAS Best Supporting Actor and Gawad Urian Best Supporting Actor for Karnal.
