Jejomar Binay is the current Vice President and former mayor of Makati City. He was the first local government official to become Vice President.

JEJOMAR BINAY

In February 1986, Binay became Corazon Aquino's first appointed local official. His active role in the defence of the Constitution earned him the nickname "Rambotito" (or little Rambo, after the screen hero). In 2001, Binay was re-elected as mayor of Makati and won his second term in 2004 and a third term in 2007.

Binay was inaugurated as the Vice-President of the Philippines on 30 June 2010.

Binay is also the President of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines.
