The peak in the background appears to be Mt Baco in Mindoro one of the last refuges for the Tamaraw. The geology of the Mt Baco region is complex and includes metamorphics, sedimentary formations and some volcanics (lava flows and tuffs) of Jurassic age. Mt Baco is probably only a peak comprising these complex formations rather than the core of a remnant volcano
